The prior opinion may be right, but it will take a while. Labs are working on foldable screens you can place in a briefcase like a scroll, the idea being you could subscribe to wirelessly delivered newspapers of your choice. Until these devices are commercialized, I think TV will remain the 800 pound gorilla.
The other delivery methods won’t be threatened by my scenario; they will in fact be enhanced. Of course, it’s possible that the lower quality sources of news may not be salable as subscriptions, so really my scenario involves newspapers melding with the internet to drive cost out of their system (paper, ink, printing, and physical delivery).
